It is done!

Yes, I have begun my journey. I entered my first contest.

Hard to believe, but when I was ready to start...I didn't have a contest to enter. How could that be? I see offers to enter contests all the time, and yet, here I was, a person with a contest-entering blog with no contest to enter.

I remembered a Gawker contest for Crate & Barrel stuff, and headed over there--it was gone. But THEN I remembered the fact that Time Out New York is always whoring itself/something out, and grabbed a copy of the magazine nearby. (I get it for free, or because I bought something, somewhere, at some point.) Sure enough, a contest to win a trip to Navarre, Spain--in honor of New York's Gastronomic Week--was up for the taking! (Which is kind of ironic, as one of my most vivid memories of my trip to Spain, was the food poisoning I got from some very delicious, but very not-so-good prawns in Bilbao.)

So, I really don't want to go to Spain, but let's face it, I probably won't. But...IT IS DONE! The first contest has been entered.
